LoockLaserLab at CLEO Europe 2025 (… and CSC 2025, CLEO US 2025)

Senior PhD Candidate Emma Abbey (4th from left) travelled to CLEO Europe 2025 in Munich, Germany, to present her work on Hadamard Transform EEM Fluorescence Imaging.

Between attending and presenting at the conference, participating in the OPTICA Women Scholars Conference (above), and visiting the absolutely enormous exhibition floor, there was just enough time left to visit Munich and take in some uniquely Bavarian culture.

That was one of threee meetings attended this summer. All chemists (and Swapnil) also went to CSC2025 in Ottawa.

Senior PhD Candidate Swapnil Daxini presents his research on VOC sensing using the extraordinary transmission though gold nanohole arrays at the CSC2025 conference in Ottawa.

The group is excited to find out what he is going to present!

Exploring Ottawa at night.

Emma’s presentation at CLEO US 2025 in Charlotte, NC, was documented in this earlier blog post.
